May 6-10, 2019 | Finland and Estonia

In the MindTeach program, educators learn how to implement the most innovative techniques and methodologies.

Learning is changing, so educators need to be prepared to teach with different methodologies that can support different kinds of learners in the same classroom.

MindTeach empowers teachers to become creators of transformative change in education…

The world around us is transforming through technology, globalization, shifting demographics, economic, and environmental changes. Education holds the promise to respond to these challenges by producing the skilled individuals prepared to innovate and progress in order to adapt to our changing world.

Through a week full of on-site visits and activities, educators will understand the innovative and creative learning methods of Finland’s educational system in order to equip them with the tools they need to make sure their students will be a new generation of learners, creative thinkers, and doers.

Why Finland?

The nature of a child is to want to know new things, to be inquisitive, curious about the world around them, and to experiment with what they learn. Finland’s education system builds on taking advantage of the natural curiosity and placing it at the heart of education planning and curricula.

Finland’s education structure is designed to support deeper learning. The role of the teacher is evolving into an instructor guiding learners in sourcing, assimilating and combining information.

That also means that teachers are required to shift their mindset from centralized control and uniformity to individually tailored learning and adoption of more varied tools and techniques. One size does not fit all, nor does one method suit everybody.

In addition, Finland enjoys one of the most advanced and expansive applications of digital technology in education consisting of formal as well as extracurricular learning through technology
